We envision a sustainable society in which the well-being and health of people, animals and the planet are central.

At Krimppp, we believe that sustainable material use not only reduces CO2 emissions and waste, but also leads to a greener economy. The transition to biobased, locally produced materials must accelerate. Collaboration is key: together we achieve much more than alone.

Mission

One of the major challenges is reducing fossil carbon use by the manufacturing industry. We want to contribute to the transition to a biobased economy by facilitating collaboration between entrepreneurs, researchers, and educational institutions.

The name Krimppp

This is also the origin of the name Krimppp, which is – in Dutch – an acronym for: Carbon Reduction through Innovation in the Manufacturing Industry based on the principle of People, Planet, and Purpose.

Objective

The foundation aims to fulfill this mission by establishing a hands-on development center for sustainability-focused entrepreneurs seeking equipment to develop biobased materials and knowledge. Collaboration is an essential step in this transition. The plans for this are described in detail in the policy plan.

With us, you’ll experiment with new materials and professional equipment. With specialized knowledge and machinery, at Krimppp’s location or at partners’.

Through short communication lines, hands-on guidance, and an experimental approach, we transform abstract ideas into concrete prototypes. Making mistakes is part of the learning process and expands our collective knowledge.

We share insights, connect companies and organizations, and thus pave the way for increased use of biobased materials.

Organisation

Krimppp is a private limited company (BV), based on the principles of steward ownership. The corporate structure is fair and sustainable. Mission, not profit, is paramount.

The Krimppp Foundation is the sole shareholder of Krimppp BV, which carries out the activities of the manufacturing lab. The foundation oversees the organization’s goals and mission.
